Nemi® blocks, a revolution in mathematics for children
Nemi® maths blocks have been developed in response to current educational needs, as well as in an attempt to respond to research findings on educational methods. We know that mathematics is often a boring and tedious subject for children, but it doesn’t have to be. Our mission is to prevent problems with the understanding of mathematics, and to shape a positive image of mathematics in the eyes of students.
We know from experience that mathematics for children still lacks tools that show relationships and help create relevant patterns in an easy. and tangible way.
We have therefore created an innovative solution, which is the Nemi® blocks for learning to count. It is a multisensory, structured teaching aid that is dedicated to children, teachers, educators and therapists.

NEMI® COUNTING BLOCKS
Nemi® blocks make it possible to introduce young children to the world of mathematics through multisensory experience. They interact intensively with children on many levels, including sensory and spatial, building the concept of number in many aspects. MATEMA – WHO ARE WE?
Matema is a group of passionate individuals who work with students at all levels of education, of all ages, on a daily basis to help them better understand mathematics.
Classes dedicated to the youngest are the result of a search for the causes of difficulties with this school subject. Working with a young child is a form of prevention against possible failures at later stages of education, and gives the child a chance to direct his or her actions towards science. We do not only teach mathematics, but above all we create the way of teaching it by creating teaching aids ourselves. Our work has resulted in board games recognised by the Committee for the Protection of Children’s Rights, as well as Nemi mathematical blocks for both individual and group work.
One of the aims of Matema’s activities is to improve the quality of children’s mathematics teaching in a broad sense.
